1938 Rolls Royce Phantom III Engine Rebuild

What a job! It was a privilege to build this engine. It is the mechanics version of having a supermodel girlfriend or the girlfriend that you never forget. The engineering and precision of these engines is amazing with the fork and blade rod design, the gear drives in the front timing case for the accessories but also the sheer size of the thing. It may have taken longer as it was the first PIII engine we have built but 45 hours was invested into this motor. And yes, there was a smile when it kicked into life and ran beautifully.
