Rolls Royce Phantom III
This one took a bit of effort. The trim was perished to the
point it could not even be used as a pattern, the body had more curves than
Beyonce, the engine wouldn't run above idle, the carburettor bowl had been pop
riveted and epoxied together. Due to a broken window birds had nested in the
concealed light section in the rear compartment and possums enjoyed the comfort
of the rear seats. The chrome had tarnished, the timbers bleached, the exhaust and radiator
were blocked and the doors would swing open as you cornered - true suicide
doors! The car ended up being a full interior strip, most of the original wiring
removed, the body was blasted to bare metal and a patient panel-beater spent
many hours bringing the body and chassis back from several accidents and poor
previous repairs.
This car had been neglected for a number of years by a number of owners. The
current owner decided that keeping the car in this state was bordering on a crime.
Two years later and you have a totally different car!
